Delhi’s newly elected BJP government, led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, vowed to table a series of Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reports in the upcoming Assembly session to “unmask the scams” of the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) administration. Gupta, who assumed office last week after the BJP’s landslide victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, accused the AAP of financial mismanagement and promised a “white paper” on the capital’s governance over the past decade. AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal hit back, calling it a “political witch-hunt” and challenging the BJP to prove its allegations. Political analysts suggest this move could set the tone for a confrontational term, with the BJP aiming to cement its foothold in the national capital ahead of the 2029 general elections.
