Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav kicked off a month-long ‘Bihar Nyay Yatra’ on Sunday, aiming to rally support against the BJP-led NDA ahead of the 2025 state elections. Flanked by party workers in Patna, Yadav accused the Nitish Kumar government of “selling out Bihar’s youth” through unemployment and corruption, promising a “people’s manifesto” focused on jobs and healthcare. The yatra, spanning 38 districts, comes as the BJP intensifies its outreach in rural Bihar with welfare schemes. JD(U) leader and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar dismissed the march as “political tourism,” while analysts see it as Tejashwi’s bid to reclaim the RJD’s lost ground after a lackluster 2020 performance.
