Lucknow, March 25, 2025 – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stirred debate on Tuesday with a bold claim during an ANI podcast: “If Hindus are safe, Muslims are also safe” in the state. Addressing minority safety, he asserted that UP’s 20-crore population, including 6.5 crore Muslims, has seen no riots or curfews under his watch, crediting his government’s law-and-order policies.
Yogi highlighted measures like ending “namaz culture on roads” and removing loudspeakers from religious sites, framing them as steps toward harmony. “Those whose ideals are Aurangzeb will behave accordingly,” he added, taking a swipe at critics without naming them, per NDTV. He also touched on the Sambhal violence, vowing to track down all accused, signaling a firm stance on unrest.
